A Holiday Card
We have been making our own Holiday Cards based on works of art for sometime. This year as an over all inspiration on form we have chosen The Kiss (original Der Kuss) by Gustav Klimtas. We have employed, for the blanket, some Kente Strips sent to us by friends in Ghana. The background of the image is an Egyptian tapestry depicting The Garden, River and Tree of Life, from weavers in the village of Harrania, Ramses Wissa Wassef Art Centre.
