Monsanto wants to own your food; Monsanto has patents on hundreds and hundreds of seeds.
What does this mean? They are systematically trying to push out all other growers and make the world dependent on their genetically modified organisms (GMO’s).
What are GMO? “Genetically Modified Organisms,” are plants or animals created through the gene splicing techniques of biotechnology (also called genetic engineering, or GE). This experimental technology merges DNA from different species, creating unstable combinations of plant, animal, bacterial and viral genes that cannot occur in nature or in traditional crossbreeding.
93% of all soy beans grown in the U.S. are GMO, as is 86% of corn, and 93% of canola.
GMO’s can lead to cancer tumors, infertility and birth defects.
Monsanto must be stopped. To begin, what we are asking for is to have these dangerous experimental foods at least labeled. Why should this Monsanto resist in having these products labeled? Hundreds of millions of dollars have been spent by Monsanto and their counter-parts to keep you from finding out what exactly is in the foods you are paying for and what you are putting in you, and your children’s bodies. Show up 10:am to 3:pm, May 25th and be counted. This is very important. Real change occurs when people take to the streets. I guarantee when the amount of people marching and taking a stand pass up the count of dollars spend by this company we will win.
Begin today by boycotting these genetically modified foods listed in the link below.
See you this Saturday, 10:am to 3:pm, May 25th at the Town Clock, 850 Front St. Santa Cruz. Here is a link to the worldwide march and more info.
Boycott: withdraw from commercial or social relations as a punishment or protest. Refuse to buy or handle (their goods) as a punishment or protest.
